Air Blue

Air Blue is the first and foremost privately owned airlines in Pakistan. The airlines started its operation with the Airbus A320. Air Blue faces stiff competition with the other three privately owned airlines in Pakistan. The air blue flights operate from the Jinnah International Airport, Karachi. At present, Air Blue operates flights to domestic destinations and also to Dubai. The airline has planned to operate flights to USA, UK, India and Saudi Arabia in the near future. Established in the year 2003, the airline started operations in the year 2004 with the A320-200. By constantly providing the passengers with reliable and low cost airline services, Air Blue became very popular right from the first year of its commencement and also it was able to compete very easily with the other two competitors in the field. They were also able to expand their services to the other cities in Pakistan. The airline also has the pride of introducing the system of e-tickets to the passengers for the first time in Pakistan .

Even though the fuel rates have increased in the past, Air Blue have some how managed to keep the fares within the reach of the passengers, so as even commoners are able to make use of the air travel. The airlines has placed the orders for 10 more Airbus and also have planned to place the orders for Jetliners. In January 2006, the airlines have taken delivery of 2 Airbus to handle the traffic in the airlines. In March 2006, the airline celebrated for handling one million passengers since the day it was started and also held a function to congratulate the passenger. Air Blue has been the first airline in South Asia but only next to Emirates to introduce the self check-in facility to the passengers in the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi . Air Blue also has a joint venture with JS Air. JS Air operates two Beechcraft 1900C for Air Blue. Air Blue solely owns 4 Airbus A320-200 and 2 Airbus A321-100. They have also placed orders for 10 new Airbus that will be delivered in the year 2008. Air Blue offers low cost flight fares to their customers and has made any common person to avail their service.
