Al Jazeera Airways

AlJazeera Airways is the first private airlines company started in Kuwait . It was established in the year 2004 by getting permission from the government to set up the first non governmental airline company in the country other than the one that is maintained and operated by the government. Through public investments, the airlines at first had the capital of USD 35 million. Al Jazeera airway has the pride of being the one and only private owned airlines in Kuwait and in the Middle East . Also this airway offers low cost airfares to the passengers.

The operation of the airlines started in October 2005 with the Airbus A320 which was flown to important locations in the Middle East . Jazeera Airways has its flights being operated to India also. Their destinations in India are Mumbai, New Delhi and Kochi . The airways have placed orders for 10 Airbus A320 and also an additional order of 6 Airbus A320. Of the total, 4 have been delivered and are already in operation. All the aircrafts have CFM B56 engines and the aircrafts are maintained by Lufthansa Technik. The aircrafts have a total capacity to carry 165 passengers and the two cabins in the aircraft are named as, Jazeera and Jazeera Plus.
