Cebu Pacific is a low cost airline operating its flights from Manila , Philippines . The airline is said to be Philippines second airline service after Philippine Airlines. The airline has its base in Ninoy Aquino International Airport , Manila . Gokongwei family one of the richest family in Philippines controls all the operations of the airlines.

Lance Gokongwei is the chairman of Cebu Pacific airlines. Although the airline was established in the year 1988, it started its operations only in March 1996. In the initial stage the airline operated about 24 domestic flights. In the year 2001, it increased its number of flights to 80 to over 18 destinations.

Cebu Pacific airlines started international flights to Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Indonesia in the year 2000. From the year 2001, it operated international flights twice to Hong Kong. In the current year, the airline is to start direct flight from Cebu to Singapore .

Cebu Pacific has planned to operate 4 weekly flights from Manila to Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok from November 2007. Cebu Pacific owns 10 Airbus A319-100 and 2 Airbus A320-214, even two more Airbus are to be introduced to the airline from February 2007. The airline has the pride of introducing the facility of e-tickets to the passengers in Philippines . The passengers can also get the ticket online.
