Germanwings

Germanwings is an airline based on Cologne Bonn Airport, Germany. It provides services to over 53 destinations in Europe, out of which 8 are within Germany and 45 destinations in Europe. The main bases are Cologne Bonn Airport, Hamburg Airport and Schonefeld International Airport.

This Airline was started in the year 1997 and became fully functional by 27th October 2002. This is wholly maintained and owned by Eurrowings. Ryanair, EasyJet are the competitors of this airline and also includes some of the low-fare operators such as HLX.com and DBA.

The primary bases of Germanwings are Cologne Bonn, Berlin-Schönefeld International Airport, Stuttgart Airport and Hamburg Airport through which it serves 49 cities in Europe including Turkey and Russia.

Germanwings Airbus consists of fleet of type 20 Airbus A319-100, 3 Airbus A320-200. During the year 2005, the airbus has signed the agreement for purchasing 18 Airbus A319 aircraft. This is the first time the airline has gone for bulk purchase and the delivery was on July 2006. The will process will continue and would be fully functional by end of 2008.

Basically Germanwings is very comfortable to travel. The other significant things to be considered about this airline are the fleets come on time, planes are made new and the airline staffs are very kind and friendly. Another thing is if a regular passenger joins the club of Germanwings, they will be provided with free tickets during special occasions.
